The following panoramas were taken
using a variety of camera, including a 3.5 megapixel Exilim, and a
6 megapixel Pentax Optio. A Fluke hand held infrared pyrometer was
used once--to check the temperature of the Pacific at Cannon Beach,
before my daughter dived in. The ocean temperature on that August day
was 43.5 degrees F. Then I lost the Fluke.
It looked like this:

Here are a number of panoramas that
were made using Flash MX as well as with Quicktime. The Oregon and Washington
photos were taken with a small Canon XLM with a resolution of only 3.5 Megapixels.
The first two panoramas were made at the mouth of the Columbia River on
the Washington side across from Astoria, Oregon. Again, the photos were taken
with a Canon XLM.
The panoramas of Ilwaco Beach, Washington and Cannon Beach, Oregon were
taken with a Pentax MX using regular film. The panorama was stitched using
both Realviz Stitcher and the Adobe Photoshop stitcher module.
This panorama was taken at Canon Beach in early August, 2005 using a Pentax
MX with ASA 100 film. Despite the water temperature being only 43.5 degrees
F, a number of people, including my 10-year-old, ventured out into the surf.
